Getting to the Camino

It’s Monday April 29, I’m sitting on a train headed to Pamplona, where I’ll begin my walk, on Tuesday that is.

I’ve used a variety of modes of transportation to get this far. I arrived at the Nashville Airport in my car, driven by Tammy. Then I took Delta Airlines to New York where I sat in the JFK Airport for several hours. I hate hanging out so long in airports, but it seemed like a big hassle to leave, get back, etc.

After a change of airlines, not my choice, I left JFK and flew to Lisbon, Portugal, which is a perfectly being town I’m sure but I didn’t have a long enough layover there to go explore the city.

Although my initial itinerary had me arriving in Barcelona, Spain in early afternoon, due to the change of airline and its schedule, I actually arrived in Barcelona close to 9pm. Then I hopped on a bus, which took me close to the hostel where I spent the night.

So I am now on a train, travelling close to 150mph at times and should arrive in Pamplona in the early afternoon, or at least that’s the plan!
