While visiting churches I’ve found that there are often graves inside some of the churches. Typically they are the rich people in that area, maybe the benefactor who provided money or large gifts to that church.

And there are cemeteries that I sometimes pass. And then last but certainly not least, there are occasionally markers along the way where a former pilgrim on the Camino “checked out” before getting the Compostela at the end.
