While I’m in Spain I have been using a credit card when feasible. When cash is needed, I spend Euros. Now if you’re like me, you may not be familiar with Euros, which is the money used throughout much of Europe.
The exchange rate from dollars to euros is approximately $1.08 per Euro. Paper currency comes in amounts of 5, 10, 20 and 50 Euros that I’m aware of. Also, there are 1 and 2 Euro coins. For less than 1 Euro, I’ve seen coins worth 50 cents, 20 cents, 10 cents and 5 cents Euros.
